The Veterinarians CARE (Companion Animals Remembered) Program, also known as the VetCARE Program provides veterinarians a unique way to commemorate their clients’ animals after they have passed away. A memorial gift to Cummings School in honor of your client’s pet allows you to share an expression of sympathy that demonstrates a commitment to your clients, their pets — and advancement of veterinary research, education, and care.
Clients take comfort knowing that a gift in their pet’s name helps Cummings School improve veterinary medicine and prepare the next generation of veterinarians to provide compassionate, evidence-based medicine.
Upon receipt of your donation, Cummings School will mail a personalized letter/card to your client, telling him or her of your generosity. This letter will acknowledge that the school has received a charitable gift from you, in memory of their pet.
Note: The Veterinarians CARE (Companion Animals Remembered) Program does not solicit your clients or enter their names into our database, unless they independently give to Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University or seek hospital services from the school for their pets.
" My participation in the VetCARE Program shows my clients that I recognize the sincerity and depth of their emotion. It is comforting to my clients to know they are not alone and after the loss of a beloved pet.

" We are truly grateful to the Bay State Animal Clinic for making a charitable gift in memory of our beloved dog Misty. We agree that helping other pets is a wonderful tribute. Misty was loved and brought us much joy for seventeen years. The loss of Misty is still lingering within our hearts.

" My mother, Elinor Coulter, was overwhelmed by the sympathy expressed in your letter acknowledging the gift you received from Wadleigh Falls Veterinary Clinic in memory of Gypsy. At 88 and widowed, her loss is huge and your kindness in writing her will help her enormously. Your letter brings a closure that we deeply appreciate.
